back to school bash 2023
The Back to School Bash is an annual community wide event to kick off the new school year. Our goal is to help prepare 250 students in Grand Rapids Public Schools begin the upcoming school year with free backpacks and school supplies while having fun interactive activities.

To ensure the success of our event, we need the support of our business community. Take a look at the attached Sponsorship Opportunities and choose the level that best fits your organization. There will be hundreds of people in attendance, spanning a variety of demographics, including clients, staff and volunteers of all ages, in addition to a variety of pre-event promotions reaching thousands. Host a Collection Box:
Host a Back to School Bash Collection Box where anyone can donate a variety of school supplies. A marketing kit and fliers will be provided that explain how their donation makes a difference for children in our community. The Box will include suggestions for their donations, such as pencils, erasers, notebooks, etc. For questions, please contact info@grandrapidsfoodiefest.com
Volunteer:
There are many ways to get involved, and volunteers are needed to make this event a success. You’ll be able to sign up as an individual or with your group or business. Monetary Donations or Gift Cards:
We receive a tremendous amount of donations from the community, but every year we fall a little short in some requested items. Monetary and gift card donations (to stores like Target, Walmart, Staples or OfficeMax) will be used to purchase items that we may need to ensure every child has all their supplies. This Pop-Up Series is a one day, 6 hour, event, which will consist of a diverse community of food, retail, and non-retail vendors from Michigan. This is a huge community engagement event.
Vendor Fee: $50.00 or Free for Non-Profits
